Lenoir-Rhyne University’s College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics seeks applications for a part-time (adjunct) faculty appointment beginning in August 2024.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
This position involves a semester-by-semester contract involving coursework for undergraduate 学生 from 3 to 10 hours per semester (compensation based on classroom contact hours) in a seated classroom environment. A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Chemistry or a closely related field is required. The degree must be awarded before the start date of this position. Teaching may include courses in Introductory Chemistry (both lecture and labs), 普通化学实验室, and evaluating student success and achievement with timely student feedback within those courses. Evidence of exemplary college teaching experience is highly preferred. Candidates must be able to conduct their assigned courses of instruction in the best manner possible to achieve student learning, 包括 presenting ideas in ways appropriate to various learning styles and showing sensitivity to a diverse student population.
